about
Bamberg in Bavaria, Germany, was a core area of witch hunts from 1595 to 1633. Whether councilman or poor herb woman, man, woman or child - everyone is threatened with death by fire. Between 1625 and 1630 alone, 236 burnings took place in Bamberg. The total number of people killed approaches 900.
lyrics
Papal Inquisition
Gagging the lands of Europe
Silencing the voices
To keep and guard the faith
(Witcher, Blasphemer, Heretic)
Persecution of dissenters
Cruel and relentless
(Violence, Torture, Execution)
malicious allegations
Causes pain and death
Let them bleed
heretic liers
Let them burn
in eternal fire
Strophe 2
Citizens of Bamberg
Give us the names of those
Who deal with magic black
They will receive our justice
Strophe 3
Thumbscrew, stretching bench
Stretched on the rack
Whipping, torn by horses
Many ways of torment
We know to find "the truth"
(Witcher, Blasphemer, Heretic)
Confessions under torture
Denounced and slanderd
(Violence, Torture, Execution)
Condemned to death
Innocent they die

First grade Swedeath from Germany. Even better, more refined and varied than the glorious predecessor. Exceptionally well done, Nightbearer. I especially love the melodic work. The Wheel Of Time 🖤 mourner

Gradually building sparse and intentionally repetitive death/speed metal hybrid that burrows it's way slowly into your ears with a great ear for the right kind of repeater riff. Old school in all the right ways and doesn't put many feet wrong in it's low-fi early thrash/speed meets very early death metal ways. poisonremedy

Who doesn't know about Rogga and his phenomenal output of swedeath? It has to be acknowledged that he doesn't put out any bad songs and is capable to hold up the tension. Not only that, je eben manages to increase the intensity of his works. mourner
